2. Tricia brought copies of Cultureweek to share which has an article about our organization written by Julie Smith. Copies are available from Tricia or Jeanne Dutton.
3. Jeanne Dutton and Carol Rhodes will soon provide Information, via Brushstrokes, regarding the BWS website and how to add your bio and a sample of your painting. Carol suggested those interested go to the website for examples of appropriate style bios.
4. Tricia welcomed new member Anne Pollard and two guests, Ana Weil and Doris Zakian.
Tricia then turned the meeting over to our guest speakers, Tom Zeta and Jane Otten of Pygmalion’s and Ed Brickler, sales representative for Canson papers. Ed presented a thoroughly informative and educational program regarding papers, how they are made and sized and used. Tom discussed brushes and general art supplies, offering his advice and wisdom about purchasing supplies. Jane then distributed paper and brushes, and let us play with watercolor crayons, offering instruction and advice. Many examples of Jane’s sketchbooks and artwork were available for us to enjoy, which we all did!
An excellent time was had by all, and BWS expresses many thanks to Tom, Jane, and Ed.
Respectfully submitted,
Jeanne Ellen DuttonSecretary
